This project is about the life and death of the motor car; captured for an instant as a vessel for art. Stark, raw, metal converges into a pyre of wrecked vehicles from without. Within is cocooned the diametric opposite; a serene, clear, space of peace. A haven created by the ferrous violence of its walls, physically, and metaphorically - a balance to the chaos outside.

Once inside visitors share an intimate moment with the artists work. The power of the space comes from its inscrutable shape, together with a homogeneity of surface which creates a chapel-like calm, and an unintrusive background for the display and appreciation of the artwork. We are inside the artist's car.
